When do applications open? 
Applications for the Porirua Youth Awards are accepted once a year, usually in July and August 2013. 

Where can I get and application form from? 
Application Forms for the Porirua Youth Awards are available from the Partners Porirua offices located under the canopy next to The Learning Shop, 7 Serlby Place, Porirua and from your school.

How much is an Award worth? 
Awards have a maximum value of $1500.

How many award categories can I apply for? 
Choose one category per applicaiton round!  Choose either:
Arts / Culture
Environment / Community
Sports
Education

How many Award rounds are there per year? 
Porirua Youth Awards are awarded once per year.

How many Awards are given each year? 
Up to eight Porirua Youth Awards may be granted each year. There are two age groups for each of the four categories.

Is there an age range for the Porirua Youth Awards? 
Yes, applicants must be aged between 12-15 years or 16-19 years (as at 31 December of the year in which you're applying).

I dont live in Porirua, can I apply for a Porirua Youth Award? 
Yes, if you attend school or a polytechnic in Porirua and are the appropriate age, you can apply.

Can previous winners apply for the Porirua Youth Awards?
Yes, you can reapply for the Porirua Youth Award, there is a maximum of 2 Awards per individual but the award cannot be received on consecutive years.

How soon after the application closing date will a decision be made?
The Awards, function and winners are announced by 12 September 2013.
