Glossary of Terms
- Donor
- A person, group, organisation, or business that gives money or assets to the Porirua Foundation.
- Recipient
- Person, group or cause to whom a grant is made by the Porirua Foundation.
- Supporter
- Person, group, organisation, or business that has met the membership criteria for the Porirua Foundation Supporters Club.
- Endowment
- A permanent fund bestowed upon the Porirua Foundation, to be invested and used for a specific charitable purpose.
- Donation, Gift, Koha
- Monies, assets, or in-kind sponsorship given to the Porirua Foundation for charitable purposes.
- Bequest
- Assets or monies transferred to the Porirua Foundation through a will.
- Will
- A written legal document by which a person directs how his or her assets (estate) are to be distributed upon death.
